Zipolite has a clothing-optional tradition and open-ocean exposure. Oaxaca’s official route includes Puerto Ángel for diving and maritime activities. Check conditions directly when booking a boat or class.
At every beach
Ask about flags, lifeguards and restrictions that day. Water quality and surf are different issues: a water-quality test does not make swimming safe. Bring drinking water, shade and a return plan.
