Mazunte’s turtle center is a starting point for understanding species protection. CONANP also operates conservation centers associated with nesting beaches.
Visits are not all the same
Admission to the center does not automatically include a release. Ask a beach activity operator about authorization, responsibility and actual availability before paying. Turtles do not follow a booking calendar.
Support without interference
Follow staff directions, do not touch animals or eggs and avoid artificial light where restricted. Ask about other ways to support a project if an activity is unavailable.
